The Canary Islands Date Palm

It is one of the most grows and popular ornamental trees on the world.

It has got very sweet fruits called dates.

Goats and the Canary Islands

The Goats were already in Canary Islands when Spanish people conquested them.

Goat are the most important livestock in the Canary Islands.

Camels (dromedary)

The first `Camelous dromedarius` were brought over to the Canary Islands from Africa in around 1405.

They were essential in the european colonization.

The canary camel is the only breed of camel that lives in Europe.


Nowadays,they are used as a mean of tranport on trips of  tourists.

BOTTLED-NOSE DOLPHIN

• The Canary Islands are know as home of dolphins.

• There are  a large numbers of this animals in Canary Islands.

• They are very frendly with human beings.
  

• They are very inteligent so they can help very much human beings.

GIANT LIZARD

• The Giant Lizard is a protected species since 1975.

• It reaches 75 cm in lenght.

• It has got a long thin tail.

• It eats insects and plants.

• The breending season is in May.After 1 month the female lays 12 eggs in a nest,of which the young comes out after 8 weeks.



• The gisnt lizard lives on the earth from the jurasic time.

The Majorera

• The majorera goat is a particulary strong brred and has beed exparted to Àfrica and America.

• Its milk is essential in the human being diet.

• The majorera cheese is one of he most famouse in Spain.

• In the 13 an 14 centuries goats were already present in the Islands.

• Nowadays,goats are the most important livestook in the islands.

MORENA PICOPATO

• The picopato is the most incredible morena in the islands.

• The picopato's mouth is very big and is full of very shorp teeth.

• You can fend them in the madle of a dark envoroment.



• It can grow 60cm long.

• It is shy but dangerous for human beings.

• It eats crustanceans and fish.
